Capt. Queegno wonder they call it a curse...ATTACHMENT
BWAHAHAAAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait to play that for my wife - she is a metallurgical engineer!!! Thanks Queeg!
actually Ig that's almost what I was going to do except that I was going to center myself over the map with north "up" then lable all important images with photo shop for both the OB and CP modes. If you can give me the basics (I'm currently getting a type mismatch when trying to start up my own server) I can do the rest (crop, draw etc. ). Also can you snap the image with the obj flags and Compass showing so I can tie them into map locations?
I think we need them both. A plain simple box drawing and then the real life version

I intentionally snapped that map pic from an angle because when I did it directly overhead, I did not think the buildings were as recognizable as from the side.
Same thing was true in my experiments. That's why the simple line drawing map is needed too. You get the general layout and then you get the ingame feel.
yeah I guess overheads do help, but IMO then only real way to learn is to play :)
I found the hardest map to learn was the "village" in the Canyon map... LOADS of different routes, which just can't be shown on any kind of mao, except maybe a 3D map where you can fly around.. oh wait .. lol
Hewster
lol hew,
K I agree that the slight angle is helpful but I could do a drawing over the actual image if ya want.
Still I would like to have "north" "up" in the overhead image and have the objective flags on the left visible to (to tie into objective location)
Well, if the plan is to capture the screen shots, then let's agree on who is doing it so we don't duplicate our efforts.
Ig, will you do them? Then I can work them into the new layout.
sheeesh that Village in Canyon is Massive -- im still discovering new paths and routes -- Did u know there is a Underwater Tunnel in there
Lmao -- I forget who designed Canyon but my hats off to ya - ITS DAMN GOOD
