Howdy a quick installation of multiple versions of the wildwest (Based on nothing installed) - Install Return to Castle Wolfenstein (CD) - Download the Released Patches (1.4 and 1.41) (www.dutchgame.nl goto downloads , Return to castle wolfenstein 1.4 and 1.41 patches are there , u might want to register but the downloads are free) at this point u should have RTCW fully installed and tested now , lets say u want 1.1.2 installed or whatever version ud like to do id take 3 examples 1.1.2 , 1.5 and 1.6b okay since 1,1,2 is very old and no one has it anymore (ahem) lets base it on that 1 first yet again u have to download it (www.dutchgame.nl, the only site ive come across with 1.12 installer 90mb) install it to your regular installation and confirm that its loaded now here comes a quicky for multiple stuff ;) ive got alot of space so id copy the entire RTCW folder to RTCW2 , in that folder (2) i delete all the wildwest stuff that the 1.1.2 made so ive got the clean 1.4.1 again , so lets download 1.5 (www.the-wildwest.co.uk) and install that 1 to the (2) folder now i got 2 versions of the wildwest running , yet 1 executable on the desktop ... and that would be 1.5 (prolly overwritten , DANG U BILL), since ive got 2 installations id just make a shortcut to the other executable (1) and rename it to 1.1.2 (or whatever u want to call it) so now ive got 2 valid Wildwest Versions... well the 1.6B version is just an expation toward the 1.5 (since its beta) u might want to copy your RTCW 2 folder to RTCW 3 ( since rtcw 2 = 1.5 which u need for 1.6b) as stated by the testing manual u can download the files from the link given in the email with the instructions to install it .. since we'd be running from RTCW 3 Dir , we will extract the files into the RTCW3 Wildwest folder , ( @ this point we do not need a backup since our playing DIR = RTCW2 which we didnt touch) NOTE since the 1.6b version hasnt a real exe 1.6 (yet) make a shortcut to RTCW3 wildwest.exe (this is 1.5 but will load 1.6) NOT TO RTCW2 ! (name the shortcut as u see fit Wildwest 1.6b) before every1 why of 3 different versions of the wildwest or 3 RTCW directories Some game files are overwritten by 16b6 this is due to the antilag code (so watch it) u can also make 3 or 4 wildwest directories but thats up to you ...

actually ringo there's an easier way. I've got various versions of wild west all in my RtCW directory labled wildwest12 (or 15, 16v6 etc) then when I want to fire up a specific one I rename that directory to wildwest. All I need to do to change game versions is to rename the old wildwest version back to it's version and rename the one I want to fire up to wildwest. You don't need multiple versions of RtCW for this. :D
