Almost everyone has noticed someone else, or been kicked themselved with a No Packet Flow message. This is happening a LOT, and whole teams are being kicked at map change. This just started appearing the last few days. I have done some initial research and been unable to determine what is causing it. The mod team has not made any changes to the maps or code, so we don't think that we broke anything. I have sent an inquiry to PunkBuster, and gotten a reply requesting additional information. I have sent the information they requested and am waiting for them to respond back. I also asked them about the PB Init failures that seem to be happening more often, usually at map change. My initial thought was that there was a mismatch between the version of PB being run on the server and the version being run on the client machines. I manually updated Lone Wolf and RockRidge with the latest PB files from PunkBuster, but the problem continues. Curiously enough, the problem started happening at the same time that PB release a new update. So, I think the problem is on their end. However, players are telling me that they are NOT getting this error when they play regular Wolf, just on WildWest. Sorry for everyone getting kicked, we are trying to get this fixed ASAP! If anyone has any suggestions, please pass them along, but this is a new error we have not seen before. Ig

i got a suggestion...you an queeg and angel...and a few others should play more often! asiide from that, IMHO i think your doin a swell job tryin to track down the problem
Yes I saw this today and took two screenshots of it. About five people were kicked due to this error. But sadly, I could not find the screenshots that I took in any of my screenshot folders! I searched all over the place for them but they could not be found anywhere!
Time for an experiment. I need a volunteer, someone who has been getting kicked with the Packet Flow error. Please download this zip file and unzip the files. Put the PBSEC.HTM into your PB folder, put the other 2 into your PB\HTM folder. Try playing for a while and tell me if you get kicked any more. It contains the latest PunkBuster files, downloaded directly from the PunkBuster web site. NOTE*** These are for Windows users only. The Linux ones can be found on the Punkbuster web site. http://www.the-wildwest.com/ignacio/pb.zip Please let me know if this helps. Iggy
Well I can't volunteer, since I haven't been kicked by PB yet. :( If I was getting kicked I would volunteer.

This is caused by PB. It's been happening a lot in all games that use PB. Try going to the pb directory in your rtcw directory and run pbweb.exe (you might have to run it a few times). Be sure to tell everybody to do this. PB has been a nightmare in the last week or two. If you can afford to, disable PB until told that PB is working properly.

So it's not just us Bacon? I hope that's the case :)
Well, that PB bug hasn't happened to me yet, so when it does happen or if it happens then i'll do what bacon says :nodding:.
Cheers, Solid Snake

I have been told by several playes that PBWEB.EXE does not work correctly, though I have not had a problem with it myself. Besides, not everyone has that exe file, it does not appear to come with the install when you load the RTCW patch. This is why I suggested that someone try manually loading the pb files. Ig

Ig, I believe I am one of the ones that have been kicked with the packet flow error - I'd be more than glad to run your experiment tonight. I will play for at least one map change and make sure that I do still get kicked. Then I will install your files and see if it continues to happen. Like a good scientist I will lastly take the files back out and make sure that the error is reproducible. A possible twist - when Queeg and I were on Saturday night, I do not remember getting kicked when we manually changed the map. I will do my best to test this as well. I should be on by 0:30 - 1:00 GMT (tonight for me), I have to visit a friend in the hospital first right after work. Any of you others going to be on tonight, even if you do not get kicked? I'm not convinced it will occur if I'm in all by myself.
