OK most of you know i have been gone with the wind for a bit of time Reasons

1. lost cable connection 2. computer died 3. lost my servers

Guess WHAT I have $2080.00 comming to me in the next 3 weeks :) im going to build a new PC Pay off my Cable Bill and connect Cable upto 3 megs for a few months Pre-Paid Pay off all my other bills

AND possibly rent a server but i doubt i will im gratefully asking any Admins if they want some help on their servers :) i love to Admin and configure servers :)

Now down to my New PC I NEED SUGGESTIONS

right now what i have togather is This

Soyo - KT600 Dragon Plus - Socket A ATX Motherboard Bundle with AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Processor - -and the 2800+ AMD actually runs at 2.8 (for those who know what i mean) if u dont get that dont ask LOL long story behind the AMD Numbers

Ultra Copper Base Cooling Fan For AMD Athlon Processors Up To XP3000+

Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory 2 Pack (1024MB Total)

Chieftec Dragon Series Aluminmun ATX Mid-T Case Purple with Front USB, FireWire & 500Watt Ultra Power Supply

Aerocool X-Blaster 80mm Cooling Fan with Dual Ball Bearing - 4000RPM (4 Total)

Enermax Black 6-Channel Fan Controller and Temperature Monitor

Coolmax 12" Floppy Blue Round Cable

Coolmax 18" IDE Round Cable Translucent Purple

Dominator CD Burner / 52x24x52x CD-RW / Black

US Robotics - 100Mbps 802.11g Wireless Router and PCI Card

DROOL OVER THAT MOTHER :) Ill Drink to that

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now Whats some suggestions here im willing to go higher CPU, Higher Memory or what What about AMD VS INTEL any Suggestions etc....

Let me know something Total Cost of the system Above is $820.22 Thats with Second Day Deleivery

And some items have Mail in rebates so the Total After my Rebates is 680.22 Second Day Deleivery

if i go UPS Ground with my rebates its only 649.94

so all in all its a decent system with a good price

but i still want good suggestions on things like CPU,Memory, Case, Power Supply Etc....

I am thinking you should spend some of that money on a graphics card.

btw my sysyem specs is a 2.1 over clocked to a 2.4 512 megs of rd ram(clocks at 800 mhz) and a 8500 over clocked to a 9200 radeon. My fave color is purple and my hobbies r buttering toast, needlepointing Elvis portraits and in the springtime i make crop circles.Ohhh and i sing and play guitar!!! If im in a very daring mood i have been known to board a bus, fart, and leave,im a crazy dude!!!

I NEED SUGGESTIONS

RaDEON 9800 pro all the wayyyyyyyyyyyy Before you buy itr make sure the box says Manufactured by ATI....G-force are overrated! Also make a point of getting RD ram not SD not DDR but RD it clocks at 800 mhz and it makes a world of difference.Seriously get RD ram bro you wont be sorry and its a fraction higher than ddr.For such a small difference in money im always amazed noone else uses it.It keeps my machine from being able to play unreal 2004 and not

nah i dont need that fast amount of memory with a simple gig of 400mhz RAM i can run any game currently out lol -- i think what i have built so far is plenty to run my fun stuffs :)

right now im shaving the price down some i got rid of the Round Floppy Cables and Round IDE Cables that shaved 15 dollars off my price

i might have money to spend but i want to save some of it to pay off a Cable account so i can pre pay it for a few months as well :)

so far i shaved 15.00 off LOL besides Flat IDE Cables are just as efficient as Round - the Round IDE is to just promote Better AirFlow - but i wont need to worry about that AND Round IDE cables have less features to Stop Cross talk which is BAD

Hi Kane I just built a Barebone SOYO kit from Tiger direct that is very close to what you mention. It has: Whatever your computing needs may be, Soyo barebone PC systems are designed for great quality at a great price. The Soyo Dragon Ultra KT400 Black socket A motherboard and the beautiful Chieftec Mini Dragon PC case make for a powerful, yet stylish combination that will put you at the cutting edge of performance computing. This barebone kit includes a case with 400-Watt power supply, an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ processor, 512MB PC3200 DDR memory, 120GB hard drive, 256MB DDR AGP8X video card, DVD-ROM drive, a cooling fan, keyboard and mouse. It now is selling for $499 after rebates. Its link is here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=698407&CatId=1222 It rocks on the gaming and i can shoot the balls off the flies going around Iggy's head.
