I noticed that some of the info from my original guide were no longer on the guide pages. I'll use this thread for all the updates and info to WW: What's new with version 1.5 attachment.php?attachmentid=10418New Weapons: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 NEW: Molotov, Volley, Colt rifle attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Soldier & Sheriff/Captain Classes have both rifle and heavy Weapon. See Weapons Guide for more detailed information. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 All new weapon models. attachment.php?attachmentid=10418 Gameplay: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Faster, new movement code (bobbing & weapon recoil) attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 New accuracy code.. basically all weapons less accurate to make gameplay more fair (no more sniping with Henry) Focused musket is still very accurate. Look for Accuracy bar on left side screen to know how accurate your shot will be. Rapid jumping and/or turning will decrease accuracy (bar will grow large and red). attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Bullet damage decreases with distance, and no headshots over 2000 world units (except focused musket), since the new accuracy would make it pure luck. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Player speed linked to stamina as well as health for more realistic play. If you're 'spent' you don't run fast or jump high. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Minimum jump height increased. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Health increases at 2 points/sec up to 45 and then 1 point/sec up to 70. (except Doc, which gets 2/sec up to full health. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Health only increases when stamina is >75% full. (If you are resting, you will heal some) attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Pickup Delay for Ammo and Health. No more rapid reloading or healing. All Classes have about a 1 second delay between picking up ammo/health (Except Doctors who have a 5 second delay on health). attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 No pickup of health or ammo if already full. So be careful about dropping packs where the enemy might get to them. attachment.php?attachmentid=10418 Sounds: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Spurs, screaming, cleaned voice chats, all new weapon sounds. attachment.php?attachmentid=10418 Animations: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 New player pain animations. These will let you know when the person you shot is actually hit and where they were hit. Players will flinch where shot (head/ body/ front/ side/ legs) or scream and flail arms when on fire. Also if you are shot you will see a brief flinch in direction shot and hear a grunt. attachment.php?attachmentid=10418 Maps: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 Town has been re-made with new spawn points for cowboys, so that more fighting now takes place in the town rather than in the bridge area. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 All new textures & lighting. attachment.php?attachmentid=10419NEW: WildWest Battlecreek by Gringo (Mine Map is currently being recompiled and will be available in 1.7). attachment.php?attachmentid=10418 Miscellanies: attachment.php?attachmentid=10419 NEW text colors for name and type:

^0 = black, ^1 = red, ^2 = green, ^3 = yellow, ^4 = blue, ^5 = cyan, ^6 = magenta, ^7 = white, ^8 = orange, ^9 = gray, ^a = light orange, ^b = dark cyan, ^c = Dark Magenta, ^d = sky blue, ^e = purple, ^f = pale blue, ^g = light green, ^h = dark green, ^i = pink, ^j = FireBrick red, ^k = dark red, ^l = dark orange, ^m = olive green, ^n = bright yellow, ^o = light yellow

HUD (Heads Up Display or gaming screen) Below is a sample image of the Wild West HUD and below that are what the # areas are. Note, not all of these will be visable on all servers attachment.php?attachmentid=10420# Description

1. Info Overlay
All server messages and echo messages appear here. Your echo messages are NOT broadcast to other players, so good to use as cycle messages for yourself.
2. Time Remaining
Shows how much time is remaining that round
3. Stopwatch Indicator
Only shows if in stopwatch mode. (I'm in round 2 of stopwatch here.)
4. Objectives
Shows which team is controlling objectives. (Bandits have first, cowboys the second and third)
5. Accuracy Bar
*Wild West Mod Exclusive This will show you how accurate (or in this case inaccurate) your shot will be. Large and red like this means you'll have a tough time hitting anything smaller than a barn. Small and green or non existent means best accuracy possible for that weapon. Crouching will also increase accuracy.

Note:

 • If using Musket wait for bar to disappear before making those critical long range shots.
 • Acts such as jumping, running, rapid turning as well as recoil will enlarge the bar.
 • Pausing briefly before shooting will make your shot much more accurate.
6. Sprint Bar
The sprint bar indicates how high and fast you can sprint. As you jump and sprint it will decrease. Moving regularly, it will increase.

Note:

 • If you are wounded and the bar is near the top you will slowly heal back up to 70.
7. Team indicator and Health
This shows you what team you're on (hat) and also you health. If you are wounded, your speed is also reduced. Rest or call a doctor for health (v21).
8. Lives Remaining Counter (only on limited lives servers)
If you are on a server with limited lives, this will let you know how many more times you can die and respawn. Once you are out of lives, you will only be able to spec your team till next round (skull next to name). On low life servers, teamwork and doctors play a more important role.
9. Compass
Very important tool. Used to orient yourself especially after respawning. You can also locate teammates who voicechat/ammo call/medic call as their icons will show up on compass. The bigger the icon the closer they are. Also miners will see blast point locations on compass.
9. Messages and Hints
All vocal and chat messages appear above the compass. Also Hints will appear above the compass as well.

Chat Commands:

 • cg_teamChatHeight "#" (# = number of lines, 8 default)
 • cg_teamChatTime "####" (#### = number of miliseconds 1000 = 1 second, 8000 default)
 • seta cg_noVoiceText "#" (0 text apears, 1 no text apears, 0 default)
 • seta cg_noVoiceChats "#" (0 voice chats heard, 1 not heard, 0 default) seta cg_teamChatsOnly "#" (0 all text, 1 team only, 0 default)
10. Weapon and Ammo
This will show you what weapon you have in hand and also how much ammo is in gun/on person. Also gatling overhead indicator is above this. See Weapons Guide for more info.
11. Power Bar
Certain classes draw from this bar to give out ammo/med bags and dynamite bundles. See Class Guide for more info.
12. Lagometer
The Lagometer shows your connection rate to the server. The top line is your (or client) side, small blue is good/large yellow bad. The bottom is server side (small/green good, large yellow bad, red pinged out or packet loss.

 • cg_lagometer "#" (0 off, 1 on)
 • Toggle: bind KEY "toggle lagometer"
13. FPS Indicator
This shows the number of frame per second you have. High is good but too high could burn out your video card.

 • cg_drawfps "#" (0 off, 1 on)
 • Toggle bind: bind KEY "toggle drawfps"
 • com_maxfps "#" (sets max FPS but needs a video restart to take effect)
14. Team Overlay
The team overlay is packed full of useful information. The short version will give you teammembers class, name, and health and the full will also give their location. I use this all the time to track the teams status and where I may be needed.

 • cg_drawTeamOverlay "#" (0 off, 1 short, 2 full)
with the changes to the weapons, the handguns are fairly accurate, to a certain distance, but the rifles will still be more accurate (just not as accurate as the musket) right? ed dragon (must have been typing when I posted the above)

this is info for the various new folks that are hitting wild west for the first time and this info isn't on the guide pages (yet) we will be giving the WW site (and guide pages) and update with the release of 1.6

This may be a stupid question, but why have you called it a 'Molotov Cocktail'? As far as I know, the 'weapon' is named after a Russian politician from the early/mid 1950s and I doubt they would have heard of him in the wild west. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it was easier to call it that than to call it an alcohol filled bottle.

You could call it (one-time) bottle recycling ;)

And actually, I think a molotov is a bottle filled with gasoline, not alcohol.
