Hollywood never makes anything realistic. The gunfight scenes are an exampe. Another example is the flight movies. Top gun for example, Tom Cruise slammed the Airbrakes on his F-14B and the MiG flew right on by. IRL, the airbrakes on an F-14 cannot slow down the jet that fast. If you're lucky, the MiG May have too high of a closure speed, and blow past, but it's rare. Then theres the Iron Eagle series. The Jets were shown taking off. They had NO Air-Ground ordinance, but then the next shot when they were in the air, they had no air to ground. But when it came to the scene where they were using the weapons, low and behold they appeared. The main innaccuracy was the seemingly endless amount of guns, missiles, and bombs on those jets. plus the avionics were not that of the F-16B. Also touching on the last part of the Iron Eagle, The kid fired a maveric on the ground... IRL the Fire Control Computers would not allow any weapons to be fired as long as there is weight on the wheels...
Hollywood ought to share some of it's secrets with the US Army..:p
People are stupid an oblivious, they go see a movie whether or not its accurate, go watch some Chuck Norris movies, hes got a pistol, has 50 rounds for some reason, and owns 50 guys with SMGs or Machine Guns, and doesn't get a scratch on himself. :n0e:
No---Chuck Norris never uses a gun! He needs no gun! Ya ever watch Walker: Texas Ranger? He'll be surrounded by guys, and he's got a gun. He drops the gun, and proceeds to kick 20 guys' asses... Well..here he's not Walker...but I had to post this.. Here's Walker!
Man, you need to watch some of his movies, btw that show is horrible.
