1 Million rounds per minute rail gun, yes rail gun. http://files.goyk.com/files0729/videos/gun.wmv :eek: Pwnage.

Is it real? I don't know for sure, could easily be a faked video, read few of the comments though, apparently it was on an episode of "Future Fighter Machines" of G4TechTV.

That is old and I do believe it's for real. I think it's an electric impulse weapon?

It could fire maybe 100 rounds.

So according to this:

(1000000/60) = (100/x)

6000 = 1000000x

so x = .006 seconds to fire 100 rounds

If it shot one round, then it would be:

(1000000/60) = (1/x)

making x = .00006 seconds to fire one round.

Or that's atleast the way I percieve it :lookaround:

It's real, seen it on discovery :)

It didnt fire 1.000.000 rounds in the movie, but technically it would be capable of doing so..

I thought a rail gun used elctromagnets to propel projectiles and has two rails which the magnets are mounted.:rolleyes: I did see the weapon mentioned in the first post on two different t.v.shows.
