It is hard to believe that a quest for Star Trek: Bridge Commander mods would have led me to a website where I would (off and on again, and spending most of my time in the spam forum, but nonetheless,) spend the next ten years(in a few months) of my life.
I know there are a bunch of you who are active who were around before me, or at the same time. Consider this thread a place to reminisce, not so much about the old forums (because we've all heard enough about how much 'better' they were in the 'old' days) but just on the journey which brought, and kept us here.
When I joined Filefreak Forums(As, I think it was called then, I'm unsure of the chronology), I was 14 years old. The only real time I'd spent on the internet was in GameSpy playing Starfleet Command II.
It is funny to look back and think about the way the world has changed around us, without us even really noticing.

4 years here =p
It is actually funny how that works, I've grown to think of everyone here as a sort of second family :)

6 Years myself...
Im in sorta the same mind as CN, Everyone here is awesome. Not really a second Family for me, as great friends.
I have you beat by a few months
Seven and a half Years I've been here (give or take). It has changed quite a bit. Everything seems to be slowing down now though, both the network sites and the forums themselves (which is a shame).
Still I ain't going anywhere. I've an operating coming up in the next couple of months which is said to have a two-month recovery period. I'd like to think there will be plenty of discussions going by then to keep me sane. Don't nobody go letting me down! ;)
Man, 6 years. Longest I've been a member of any forum. Mostly since the other ones upped and disappeared.
One year as of Friday the 6th. Looking forward to many more. :)
longest time I have ever actually stuck to something.
Almost 9 years here, on and off. I still remember when a bunch of us were waiting for the 80000th member to join one night, it ended up being SeinfeldRules I think.
