Mac DaddyWhen is the American and British army gonna beaf up the cal of their weapons to 7.62mm. The M16/M4, SA80, LSW and SAW all fire 5.56. Only the american M60 fires 7.62. I just want to see a weapon made (mainly a rifle) that fires 7.62 to match up to the power of the AK.

It confused me at first because handguns have 9mm...which i thought was bigger o.O?

9mm = pistol round, 7.62 = rifle round. 7.62 is bigger, much bigger

Alright, actually. i will explain.

When we used the firing ranges not far from basra, near the iran-iraq border, in the desert it was pretty good.

I looked into the weapon and there was alot of sand built up just from the wind blowing across, i didnt clean it and nore did anyone else clean theres within that hour to two hour period. When coming to use it i fired if i remember correctly 40 rounds, and there wasnt a problem and most of the sand had gone but it stuck to it quickly afterwards and built up more. But i really dont think there would be a problem with it when firing again, as when its loaded and in the chamber the sand seems to get pushed away and isnt an obstruction.

But if u didnt clean it for a good couple days and had fired it many times, i think it would become a problem. Everything else on the weapon is great, better than A1 anyway. cocking handle is alot better.
