Revenge was here.

I just thought of this the other day and figured that it would be an interesting question to ask:
Suppose that on 9/11, only one tower of the World Trade Center fell (The other one missed it, didn't hit it, or just hit a glancing strike). The other one fell though, so it is apparent that there are structural problems in the design.
So my question is, do you think they would have demolished the remaining tower (Causing a huge cloud of toxic debris to go down the streets of NYC), rebuild the complex, or do something else?
This is also interesting in thinking about how tall structures will be demolished in the future.

Conspiracy Side of me would say: Yes. Because it's proof they failed in structures.
Reality Side of me would say: No. They would fix the problem and let it stay.

If just one tower fell,... That would be an interesting hypothetical question.
They would not have demolished the other tower. That would have put too much dust into the air. Instead, they would have focused on cleaning up the other tower.
As for the response to the first tower's destruction. That would have caused a lot more fear. People would have been afraid of being near, or within the shadow of the second tower. Incase it happened again.
The schools would likely have been evacuated for far longer, possibly shut down completely.
