I was wondering if there is a way to make the Sovereign have more than just 60 Quantom torpedoes because that doesn't seem realistic to me. I think there should be more. I mean, The Kessok have 235 or so Positron Torpedoes, and the Hybrids have a ridiculous amount of torpedoes but the Sovereign only has 60 Quantoms and 200 photons. I read somewhere that a Sovereign can hold about 600 quantoms and 500 photons at the same time. Who needs that many photons? Anyway, it just bothered me and I was wondering if there is a way to do it. I just want to make them be around 120 or so, that's plenty.

You need to get the sdk and the find your way to the hardpoint folder of the ships, then find the file mathcing the ship you want to edit, I use PythonWin to edit files with, then find your way to the lines that contain the following:

Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(0, 200) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(0, "Tactical.Projectiles.PhotonTorpedo2") Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(1, 60) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(1, "Tactical.Projectiles.QuantumTorpedo") Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(2, 0) Torpedoes.SetTorpedoScript(2, "Tactical.Projectiles.PhasedPlasma") Torpedoes.SetNumAmmoTypes(3)

ok in the first of these lines where it says; Torpedoes.SetMaxTorpedoes(0, 200) ; the 0 is the ammo type and the 200 is the amount of ammo, which can be changed to any number. (Although I've never put it above 2000, theres no reason.) and the same follows for the other two types of ammo. Here is my sovereign.py

WOW!! You made a ship killer. I took on ten Galors with this one with no problem, even 6 Hybrids and 5 Galaxy-class ships. Holy Moly! A little too strong for my taste though.

All I want to do is give it more Quantoms and take away that amount from the Photons - say 120 Quantom, and 140 Photon - just divide it differently, nothing more. I downloaded SDK but that thing was so complicated I got a headache. but you seem to have no problem doing it. Do you think you could do it for me? Please? It'll probably take me ages to do it myself. I'm more on the incompetent side when it comes to things like this. :'(

But if it was to be done, would I be able to use the new settings in Single Player mode, say from an already saved file? Or just in QuickBattle?

Hey JSein, sorry I miss understood your post. Here is the Sovereign you want. Well sorta, 200 photons and 140 Quantums. I think it could hold that many. What with matter replicators and transporters and all. Any way thats all thats different.

They should all work in single player and multi as long as you and whoever you play with all have the same files.

It works fine in quickbattle but when i try to load one of my old saved game files it wont load. it's happened before and i dont know why...:(
