So my country used to be a british colony then... Until the japs invaded, so we have this Fort Siloso area, now its just a tourist spot where tourists accompanied by tour guides go into this sort of cave-like fort.

So inside there, were this electronically/mechnical mannequins. You know those to renact the times when my country got invaded. Plus the fort was cave-like and I tell you, the dark areas were just creepy.

More so with the fact that I hate mannequins in confined dark spaces. You always get that feeling that something is going to appear out of the corner. I went there once as a school excursion, and even then with a large group of students and a teacher or two, the place still creeped me out. Certain parts were cordoned off and we're not allowed to go there etc.. The lighting was not really the best one in the world and it just gave off that creepy atmosphere.

Normally I'd say a Haunted House.

Back when I was in school (first school, so this would be going back 11/12 years now, we had a school trip this one weekend. I forget where the location was exactly, but we were told stories that the place was suppose to be haunted. I didn't really think much of it at the time; typical ghost stories and the like.

Anyway, one day on location, a group of us (inc some teachers) were walking through one of the corridors, this one section had an open door, leading to some outside buildings, and I swear (to this very day) that I saw a woman, dressed in white, standing on the stairs going up to one of the other huts looking at me.

I remember mentioning it to my classmates and teachers alike; none of which saw anything. Not quite sure it was a ghost, or whether there was someone actually stood there, just nobody else actually noticed, but I know (back then) it freaked me the hell out.

But yeah, typically, I'd say haunted houses and the like, though I've no problem walking in and around them, in a group, in the day. Ask me to spend a night in one, alone, I may have a difference of opinion.

Haunted house as in, normal house/abandoned and rumored to be haunted(?) or as in theme park haunted houses.

I also think, hospitals at midnight just gives off that plain scary vibe. Especially if the hospital's lights are a bit older than usual and is glowing a bit orange or whats that yellow and orange color(?), you know instead of the usual fresh silver white light bulbs give off.
