Hey I'm in the market for a desert eagle pistol with

working slide and removable magazine

I'd like it in black or two-tone. I'm looking at this one here,

http://shortyusa.com/index.html?RID=4328 [2nd page, the $20 one]

If all I want is a prop with working pieces, does it matter if I get AEG/Spring/BB? I'll never shoot it, I just need a good weapon reference.

Is this an okay gun for what I need? If not, could some links be suggested to me. I'd not like to pay more than $50. If the parts could be in metal instead of plastic, that'd be a plus.

Much thanks.

Sure air-softs are entertaining, But maybe you don't understand the meaning of this forum (Entertainment Forum that is)... It was meant to be media type discussions.

If youre gonna use it only to have it for the sake of having it, then ANY that look like a desert eagle would be fine. I have a black Tokyo marui Desert EagleGBB hardkick version. Its worth about $300CAN. It is 1:1 scale, almost as heavy as the real one, has full trademarks and has the hardest kick of any stock GBB and shoots at approx. 300fps.

but for your case i d say any of them will do as long as it looks like what you want it to.

I want a real model reference. I went down to a gunshop earlier this week just to see the real thing. It was a freaking beast. Like a foot long, 5 pounds atleast. But I'm not shelling out $1100 for a gun when I only want it for modelling references. Pictures just aren't good enough. I know there are a lot out there, but I'd rather just look at it and model from there. Call me picky, but I think it'd just be so much easier. I'm gonna buy a SPAS-12 airsoft shotgun too, but I hope they're not too much.

Do your self a favor and dont buy off Shorty, buy off Airsplat. I bought a M324 Sniper and a Leapers 45.00 scope and i have never looked back. Has free shipping with orders over 140 i think. www.airsplat.com

he only wants this stuff to look at. He isn't playing airsoft with it. So you don't need anything expensive, and yes, there are some very cheap SPAS 12s, but they are really shitty for play, so if ever you changhe your mind and try to play a game, get something better for a shotty.
