Unless they kinda failed... just for privacy reasons you know. It matters little were somebody is from.

He says so (and I checked, the post he made here seems to be from Korea so that is his location). I wouldn't have expected it but if anything it is cool. =p I'll go with "meh" though.

Unless I misunderstood what you've said before, you aren't from Korea, right?

crisissuit3;4607416well, whats really annoying me is it automatically changes to korea, then i guess youtube automatically says im speaking korean.

Well by default that would be reasonable but I guess changing it would only be a click away. When I go to google.nl I get a Dutch google, when I type goog.com I get redirected to google.nl... kina annoing but also understandable for those who only know of google.com and speak no English (hah!). You have to click one or two buttons to force google to go to google.com (google in English as they call it).

I expect such a system would apply to youtube aswell. Were a large majority of visitors might be Korean and Korean speaking, but changing the language should be a click away for tourists and Koreans who want to use an alternative language.

But aren't you saying you only mind your location being displayed (as Korea)? Or is it both the language AND location settings being (auto reset?) to Korea(n) AND it being public to other people?

I'd expect: 1) Default language set to local nation, changed by a click of the mouse (and can eb saved ) 2) Location same story 3) This info being public or private handled by the click of a button and private by default.
