Again, this is assuming you have religious beliefs of some sort. On to the question: Do you believe that decapitation and other mutilations of the physical body have any sort of effect on the soul after death? I remember hearing somewhere that some Christians believe that if your head is severed after death, you cannot to go to heaven.
No.
As the soul dont have any connection to the physical body, I'd have to say no.
I'll go with Gauntlet. There are lots of sayings, not just about decapitation. But the soul is your thoughts, when you lie, they are / are what might be left to wonder off into the afterlife - You don't take your body with you. I fail to see how the effect of us dying will have any effect on anything else. So, it wouldn't matter how we died, just that we have, and then I guess we will see what happens when we get there...

Could be creepy when you show up to Heaven with no body (or maybe no head:lol:)! Would be strange to see.
I'm pretty sure that you'd go to Heaven with all your...limbs, intact. The soul isn't a physical thing, it isn't even really a "shape" or body, there's not really any way to describe it, as everyone has different ideas and beliefs about it. All that's certain is that physical damage to the body doesn't damage the soul.
Well, I am not an ancient Egyptian or any other similar culture with similar views on the afterlife, so no, I believe that the container has no impact on the soul.
Well, it is a good idea to try not to damage the container, so I would say maybe. But that could be very bad, what if some old person went as a younger version of themselve. Then you start to::hump:. Later you find out you made out with a 80 year old...:smack:....and you beat her (him) up and go to hell after your kicked out.
That would be a mean trick.
GauntletNo.

I'm not religious and I doubt there is an afterlife, but *if* there is an afterlife and there is such a thing as your "soul" going there I don't think that any injuries you suffered here will pass on. The "soul" is not connected to the physical body as Gauntlet said. So I'm with Gauntie on this one.
According to Bhuddism, there is no 'soul.' There is no entity that controls your actions. You are a product of different entities working together, whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. There is, however, a transfer of character through karma. I've been reading about Bhuddism lately. It's pretty interesting.
