super6-4;4868196you sound like the typical Obot, do you really think they want to help you all there fucking interested in is the continuing of their term. so what do they do they make you happy by giving you shit so that you will vote them back in when the time comes. why do you think this democratic congress and obama are pushing the "dream act" giving illegals citizenship. because when it comes to election time the former illegal can now vote and i think i no who they would vote for.

i believe a good 70% of the stimulus which was one of the main reasons for the tea parties, has nothing to do with stimuling the economy. as for the remaining portion it will create government jobs that will only lasts for so long. what happens when all those who got a job as a result of the stimulus all the sudden.....oops look there's nothing to do now since i completed my job renovating that museum and now I'm back to being out of a job. what then do we drop another almost trillion into the toilet.

and tell me whats going to happen the day that bill shows up. who's going to pay the tab, it sure as hell ain't going to be the ELITISTS that are currently in charge. there going to be dead and dying and ME and YOU and future generations are going to have to pay the price and that's fucking BS, that they are so selfish that they rather blow all this money now to save their own asses and as a result make the lives of those future generations a living hell.
This is exactly why I'm not a fan of Rush Limbaugh all he ever does is instills the idea of people making criticisms without coming up with solutions. Name one time where he has actively made a solution to a problem and perused it. Talk is cheap, if you have a solution without using the policies already instated let's hear it because if you don't have a solution you're just progressing the problem.
As I said, I believe the sole responsibility of government is to protect my rights. I do not believe I have a right to good living conditions. I have a right to access to good living conditions should I be able to afford them. However, I am not so brazen as to suggest that everyone must find their own well to get water, and design their own plumbing system. There are appropriate places for government, just not the federal government. Local and state governments should be responsible for such things, and the federal government should not be involved whatsoever.

It seems you have never read the Constitution. It does give the president the responsibility to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed." This requires a police force. The Constitution also specifically allows for the creation and funding of an army. The Constitution also specifies the creation of a system of courts. What necessary programs do we have that are not specifically allowed by the Constitution?

I am fully aware that the United States' system of laws is derived from common law, however where in the common law system does it say the government must have a welfare program? Does it designate the size of the military? How about taxes, does it describe the types and percentages?

Reduce our military to what is necessary to prtoect ourselves, and nothing more. I don't understand, are you proud that the US gets to bully smaller nations into doing our bidding? If you are, that's fine, it's just not something I agree with. To be honest, I couldn't care less how NATO or the UN would feel. The UN is one of the worst organizations we can be involved in. Instead our Americans running the United States, an international body gets to decide what rules and laws we must follow. Does that sound appropriate to you? Personally, I would prefer to keep all our governing powers to ourselves. As far as NATO is concerned, why do we need it? Check out the other thread on the forums about NATO to see some reasons why it does us no good.

Get what "shit" done? I don't want shittier government funded entities. I want those entities to be eliminated completely. As far as public schools, transit, and parks go, I am opposed to federal government involvement in such things, not local and state government involvement.

Ok, so expect a sharp raise in your state and local taxes because those public schools are going to get the money from somewhere.

And it's not about the United States bullying other nations it's about helping them by supporting them. It's part of diplomacy, we offer protection for other things, for example the pirate issue in Somalia, we've sent a few warships to help the international patrol. This isn't an isolationist world like from the 1920s to the 1930s. And I don't know what world you live in but since when have we really listened whole-heartedly to everything the UN says? We went into Iraq without them if you don't remember so obviously they can't tell us what to do. We spend the most of any nation but we also have the most advanced military of any nation, it's been what we do ever since the 40s.

the UN is useless, and ohhh look whats on the news. obama wants the govt to buy out most of the shares in the remaining banks, therefore the govt would then OWN the banks .......sounds alot like what good ole hugo that he was so happy to meet did in venezuela. obama should really stop deining it and come out and say yes im a socialist who loves the idea and philosophy of communism, i am really anticipating changing america into the next soviet union. after all they did great!!!! right.

Banks have been nationalized in capitalist societies before, it's not like this is something unheard of.

I wonder what obama's approval rating is right now.

I doubt its close to the "cheering in the streets when he was elected" level we saw months ago.

I dont think hes doing a horrible job, I just dont know if he is helping the situation any.

Once the banks were nationalized the economic system of that nation ceased to be a capitalist one.
