There is really nothing to explain about that. Say a father owns a market, and he owns the few flats above the market. He moves into the building and runs the market with his own family instead of hiring people. So its like a store run by a father, son or daughter. The house I rented there for a month had a neighborhood market run by 2 brothers who were about 45-50 years old. They worked it together with their sons too.

No clue about that one. I saw the market owners wives a few times, one of them had their head covered but they occasionally worked, mostly behind the counter.

I see, sadly I cant figure them out for the life of me, and the things I have learned are hard to grasp, and overwhelmingly frustrating

Haha, trust me it wont get easier to understand. I think the reason you dont understand is because you live in America. I lived in America for 8 years (mostly when I was little) so when I came to Turkey & Greece I never understood anything the people did, but if you experienced it yourself you would get it.

I lived in America for 8 years (mostly when I was little) so when I came to Turkey & Greece I never understood anything the people did, but if you experienced it yourself you would get it.
