Dragonelf68;4495056No I can control my self. It's just that my depression has given my subconsious more power over me and my actions. Your consious mind has control over what you do, but the subconsious mind does it. If you give the subconsious more power, then you don't have as much power over what you think, what you do, etc. You still have power, you just have less. I'm taking medicine and I'm taking therapy. But there comes a time, when it becomes nearly impossible for medicine and therapy to help. For me, that's the case. They only slow down the depression now. All because of the event mentioned in my previous post.

well, whenever i feel bad, i always try to look at the positive side of things. like, if my game breaks, ill get a new one soon, maybe a different better game, or i could play a different game that i have. or this tells me that i should go outside and have fun out there. what im basically saying is that you have to think to control yourself. it ma sound confusing, but if you think hard and focus on the good side of your life. things should be better. now me :D but earlier i said that my life seems repetetive and dull. but what i really want to do is free run. the only problem is i dont have anything to help me with. my other friend also wants to free run but he seems to have more "balls" then me.

It's hard for life to suck when in an inebriated state of consciousness. As far as regular sober life goes...

...well, without my music and loving family I'd probably bash my skull in with a blunt object. Repeatedly.

Society and humanity is a virus with shoes. I'll shine a smile upon the worthy individuals and tell the rest to fuck off.

Might your depression have something to do with the fact that you expect to be depressed? If I thought I was supposed to be depressed, it would be rather depressing. The happier you are, the happier you will be. Finally, a place where circular logic has merit!

No!!! Why do you think I post on this forum!!!???:bawl::bawl::bawl: But really in all seriousness, I think I could have been way better if I had some parts of the attitude I have now. When I look back upon my past and see what I could have done and what I could have become, I gravely weep for it. I only realized now that I am a perfectionist and that if I had worked I wouldn't have to take a bashing from others (mind you, not physical but verbal and ideological). But say if I was able to be quite skilled in everything I did and had an image of influence or rather that of a very powerful person, I think ppl would listen more often. But no, I didn't think about it when I was engorging myself with junk food and wasting my body and brains on video games and tv. I only thought about it just recently. And this is why if I ever had a chance to begin life anew, be reborn or go back to my past and change the way things in my life have happened, I would most certainly take it.

Life is mundane, if come to the realisation that its just Working, getting your bit of time off and paying taxes, bills, rent, insurances etc. Your have to follow orders all day, for a pittance, which most goes on just keeping you fed, warm and sheltered, but you need to do it to have the money just for those things, we're screwed, our lives are about making the government or already wealthy people richer. Which is all bollocks but oh well, but its made worse from the fact you work and pay all those taxes, then your not allowed to believe what you want to believe, you force fed their BS of whats right and wrong, even though we pay enough to them, so they should leave us alone, but we have to believe the "moral" (more immoral) standards they set.

It doesn't have to be that way. You can choose the role of a starving artist and make ends meet by doing something you're passionate about. Poverty awaits you and the going is constantly rough, however you'll be making a living with something YOU enjoy instead of for paycheck with some obnoxious boss breathing down your neck.

Fuck their moral standards. They only put those archaic laws on the books to keep us impotent and unable to rise above this pointless, consumerist lifestyle.

Great, now I'm depressed. I hope you're happy.

The past is gone, there is nothing you can do to change it. All you can do about the past is learn from your mistakes and do better in the future.

I used to be like you. I would beat my self up over past events. One day I realized that getting mad over the past is worthless. I learned from my mistakes and changed things for the better. If you can move away from your town to a place where no one knows you. To them your past mistakes(unless it is something like arson) won't matter to them. I made some mistakes in high school and people remembered me for them. I chose a college that none of them were going to. I have never met anyone at my college, so the screw ups from high school won't affect me.

Fuck their moral standards. They only put those archaic laws on the books to keep us impotent and unable to rise above this pointless, consumerist lifestyle.

There is no right or wrong, it is all the same shade of gray.

Looking at what I have right now, I can say I have everything I need and just about everything I want. I doubt my total material possessions total more than $3000, but I am happy. People have a hundred times more things than I do and yet you hear of them being unhappy.

You can bet that I will take all the vacation time I get when I have a job. I enjoy the line of work I am going into, but an engineer is not able to travel around the country by bicycle.
