My results from a test. Basically it suggests that I have a high likelihood of having either Asperger's syndrome or some other form of ASD. Not exactly the first time I've heard of such a thing. I've had several little instances throughout life suggesting things from family members...coworkers...strangers =p

Anyway...what do you think of such things?

Well....my memory is pretty good as far as prior experience and events (some of them are rather personal), but yeah...I did often got in trouble for not making eye contact with people :\

I still have somewhat of an issue with that. It's kind of weird because it's not like I don't consciously want to but it's almost painful to. It's also kind of painful to hear people have normal conversations >_<

EDIT: I too don't put much stock in online tests that aren't conducted by a licensed psych professional. It's mainly just something I've been thinking about as of late and recalling memories.

Pretty much. I've been seeing a psychiatrist for over a year now. I was actually about to meet with an educational psychologist in order to test for a few things but it was too expensive.

Properly made, I think online tests would be superior to seeing a human, who can't compare you on the fly to the latest results of thousands of other people - and, just as importantly, with the probability of competing explanations. I don't see what information the meat-space version of the test is going to get out of you that the other one won't.

But, realistically, I don't think most of them have the underlying data and analytics behind them to do anything worthwhile. There's certainly an asymetric relationship in psychology; in that a lot of their data is to all intents and purposes locked up, which makes their tests a little harder to cheat on the one hand but a fair bit less useful to the general public.

I think Nem is in my brain, he always expresses what I want to say, but in his own incredibly fancy way. <3 Nem. Anyway. Eye contact is fierce. I often avoid it without realizing, then force myself to look and their eyes are staring back and...*shivers* And yes, that's a true story, I'm not confident enough for eye contact.

I'm exactly the opposite. I usually focus on just one eye, usually the right one, and I tend to just stare into it. That often intimidates people, along with the authoritative way I speak.

Mmmm, yeah, I have that with the monotone type of speech. When I'm drunk I can use a bit of inflection or of I'm trying out lines from movies, but other than it's just kinda, "Mhmm...yes...affirmative..." XD

I do a similar thing, Lindale. I focus on their eyes to show my focus is on them, but i guess most people see that as threatening. So, I tend to count and every dozen or so I look away for a moment and back. Eye contact is such a weird thing.
