OK, in my mod (status at www.comwarrior.vze.com) I've set the warp core distroyable but it doesn't take the ship (on certain ships), this is in preperation for an auto ejection system.......

Except something weird is going on, the AI does something weird, it just spns and travels in a straight line.....All attemps to get the AL to hit my worpcore have failed stupid AI, lol

Any way, I want to create an APU so when the warpcore is distroyed the ship doesn't loose all power.....

Except looking at the HP's in note pad I can't see how to do it, can some help?

ok let me see if i get this

your trying to create a warpcore script that will eject the warp core after it is destroyed, but you would still retain some aux power.

if this is the case you won't be able to do just from editing the hardpoint. you would have to create a warpcore ejection script that would the game what to do in the event the warpcore is destroyed. Currently you can set the hardpoint so that if ship's warpcore is destroyed you can make it critical or not. Critical will instantly destroy the ship once that value is at 0.

using the MPE (model property editor) this can be achieved by simply clicking on the critical box.

using notpad look for the following under warp core WarpCore.SetCritical(1)

change to WarpCore.SetCritical(0)

to make the warpcore not explode the ship. Please be aware that you cannot have a secondary warpcore becuase the original secondary system for the warpcore was removed before the game was released. However i am hoping that someone will fix that soon. Without a primary power system, you will be dead in space once all your reserves are used up.

what it looks like, although it could be an AI thing....is that when to worpcore is distroyed....then their is no power.......

now, I'm aware of the functions in MPE....and I'm aware that I need a script to add the function.

actually, I just thaught, if their was no power at all, the ship would not repair...... therefor it must be the stupid AI going off one one when you distroy the core......drat.

Any ideas on how to make the AI target the worp core?

only thing i can tell you is to make an update to the ai script, but thats not my line of expertise
