Heck I don't know whether its the stars or the planets aligning with who-knows-what or its just me, but dang Ive been stuck in rut of bad luck lately :( Things that happen at work, though you're trying like hell to cover your ass and not do anything wrong, little things at home that really bug ya day etc etc... argh! And please believe I'm actually a positive person irl! I need a cure. I'm desperate (I even opened a thread about it  ) Who has anything, any knowledge stupid sounding or not, superstitious or not, that someone could pull themselves out of the BL Rut? Cause frankly guys I need it. Much appreciated, my chickens feet, rabbits foot, crucifix and bonfire are waiting. :uhm: <3
I didn't make it!
Move to General Discussion forum as this just isn't quite Pub material I don't think.
As for the topic, I've personally never believed in luck. You manufacture your own luck, so to speak.
I'm an immensely superstitious person, and I have found that when I am having one of those "Snowball Fail" days I take some time, usually like 10 minutes, put on some relaxing music (Not like literal relaxation music, just music that calms me down, usually like the Beatles or Pink Floyd or whatever) and just kind of close my eyes and meditate, accepting and making peace with any problem that is troubling my mind.
Sounds crazy, but it works for me.
I don't really believe in any of this, but I guess people that do believe may influence themselves subconsciously to some extent. So here are a few ideas:
You could try the karma-approach. Do a few good deeds and hope that karma will repay you.
A more western approach would be to look for jinxed/cursed items and remove them. If you are very religious play around with holy water, confess your sins or buy a cross or an icon of some saint.
I'm only subconsciously superstitious. The majority of my problem perhaps is that often times I associate my bipolar disorder with events and actions and assume it has to tie in somehow. In terms of getting rid of an apparent bad luck rut, the only real way to get out of it by yourself is to just say "Screw It, I'm going to go have a great day". When something bad happens to you just shrug it off and play on what's positive in your life, even though in some cases it might seem minuscule.
I know how you can get your luck back up. its a ritual my friend like to do everyone in a while: wake up at exactly 4am and get completely naked and get to the nearest populated area. Once there scream loudly until someone calls the police and your luck should improve immensely.
Law of Attraction. Negative energy attracts unwanted karma.
My luck depends on what order I do my morning routine and how I do it.

Yeah I used to believe that ah, but I dunno, I dont think that anymore. I do however feel being negative all the time is actually bad for your health. I fully believe negative type people who get, for instance, cancer, have extra effort getting rid of it. But my OP was merely about those rut type days and what you do to feel better I guess. Pink Floyd sounds is a good idea. Clanard's another nice relaxing band.

I've given up on the concept of "bad luck" after having it for the last 4 years. Not that I'm doing that bad, but it hasn't been particularly good either. Maybe in a few months things will start to get situated and I can focus on getting some positive energy going on.
