As the title suggests, what was the best WW2 (prop) plane family? Since theres Sooo many variants of each planes such as the messerschmitt Bf109 theres about 15 different types although they do get better theres still just too many to list so Heres the top Families. If you know of one that I may have forgotten name it, I'll add it. Don't forget only Prop planes that were production planes meaning hundreds made. P38 because its design is unique compared to most.
P51 because it's my favorite.
The P51 Mustang since it was the fastest, had the best range, and Highest Combat and flight Ceiling
I've always been a fan of the Spitfire, so I voted for it. P-51 is faster and all, but I like the Spitfire more.
I picked P-51 Mustang, but I like the P-40 more.
P-51, although the Zero was pretty good in it's late stages.
P-51 without question.
I'd say Spitfire.
