Why dont you just make youre own sfx or weapons? or just replace the sounds with stock sounds. You could try changing it like as follows:
Phaser sounds to romulan phasers
Borg pulse sounds to disruptors
Torp sounds to antimatter torp
It seems a bit of a waste to give up now, i mean, i dont really care if the sounds arent right, its the actual hardpoints that are the important thing. i know that all of these things you need permission for would be great, but they arent vital. You could quite easily make a torpdeo, or like i could if you dont know how or cant be bothered...
i have already begun, and have found some wav files that sounds the exact same as some that i have chosen to use. i'll be sure to list where i got them. i think that i can get by with the topedos, but i must have permission for the cutter texture (see ss2 above). there is no way i can make that one, or any tga file. well i don't have the free time to learn. my squad operations takes priority over all other games or mods right now.

A while back I decided to modify the Dreamyards Borg sphere Hp. And in my opinion I made the Borg sphere better. This is the way I did it:
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hull= 400000, Repair = 1 Shields= 12500, Low recharge.
Main Battery Limit= 200000 (when ship is destroyed it damages nearby ships, nice effect in my opinion)
Repair= 12 teams, 3 repair points. (This may not seem very borg, but it the vessel armour is so powerful anyway)
Phaser= 2000 dammage. 1 recharge rate.
I really want you to try out this Hp, although many would disagree i think its very well done, the sphere is not so powerful, it can be beaten, its more cannon to voyagers episodes really, since systems can be taken out etc. The hull of the sphere takes dammage, but it does not repair that fast, this makes an entertaining battle.
Whilst you take constant dammage from torpedoes and cutting beams, the sphere takes slower dammage to the hull. Remember the sphere is only a scout, but like all Borg vessels its hull is so powerful that any attempt to damage it considerably takes time.
I really want you to try this out, im not plannning on releasing it so im not interested in getting permission, but if you think its good ill conisder a realease. Its up to you if you wanna try it. But perhaps a combination of your cube hardpoint and my sphere will make an impact, who knows?

thanks dragon, we will need to hook up in the near future. i've been away on business for a while and just getting back. but right now, my plate is already full, as im involved in quite a few tournements with my squad on another game. i should have more free time by mid-month and can pick up where i left off. in the effort to try and speed this along, anyone wishing to test this HP needs two things:
contact me by icq (168012065), and be sure that i know that you want to test this file as i dont authorize anyone without being reffered. if im not online, then leave a message. i will get back to you, giving you the teamspeak channel and the time of testing.
any tester will first need this Cube. the hardpoints will only match up with the normal cube found in this mod. i also strongly recommend having QBR2.2 until someone can script a starbase AI to move, as i did not screw around with any of the AI. i find the best gaming experience is battling this cube as if it is a starbase.
if you dont already have a cannon (not godlike) fleet, then you may want to get one. if not, then i figure you will need at least 18 to 20 starships, maybe more.
Cube HP specs:
30 arrays - 18 beams, 6 cutters, 6 holding 24 plasma launchers - 6 shield, 6 systems, 6 hull, 6 trackers 01 deflector grid - weak but higher than average recharge rate 01 detector array - 500km max detection, 250 km identify 01 reactor - unknown damage radius upon destruction crew compliment - 350,000 which i used to factor regeneration rate. (note-actual rate has been lowered for gaming purpose except for my own copy.) hull interegty - lets just say, omg, we are going to be here for a minute. i just love long drawn out battles.
i tried to balance this HP to take on 10 to 12 cannon ships so that you dont need an armada to defeat it. to make it interesting, i only used one capital class ship per race. and to make it memorable, i let my crew carry out my orders (targeting and maneuvers). i never left the bridge view once.
