Café Osama needs to change name Café Osama in the Servian capital Belgrad needs to chose an other name. The word Osama means 'remote' / 'far-off' in Sevian-Kroatian and has nothing to do with Osama bin Laden. But tell that to the staff of the American embassy, that is located opposit the café . They had filed an complained at the city council.

That's just sad, I actually can't see anymore then humour in having a café opposit your embassy that happens to have the same name as one of your worst enemies. Sure if the café was named after Osama or "promoted" terrorism, violence or anti-american feelings I could understand but this is nothing of all of that. :cort:

A German truck-driver was fined by the police a few years ago because he left a note on his truck which read "Bin Laden" (which is German for "I'm loading").

I think this is a bit exaggerated, not unlike the exaggerated political correctness you sometimes hear about in the news.

Isn't that just a rumor? I know it goes around in joke form. :uhm:
