Now that roof looks bad, you are very lucky to be uninjured especially as you both escaped the SUV and survived the flip and shouldn't really care about an old Toyota, especially as it looks pretty rusty anyway. :) I can understand if you miss it though, felt like that myself when I had a crash in August, I don't think I quite realized how close it had been. The owner of the mailbox I ran over on the way to the tree then rang me later that day and was very surprised I had escaped without injury, the marks left weren't very pretty, and told me there was a huge concrete drum in the deep ditch I had barely missed (it can't be seen in the pics, but the left wheels went on the edge of it and had they gone a few centimeters further the car would have been likely to flip over into the ditch).
The roads was very nasty here too this weekend, I don't know if you had studded tyres, but I sure wouldn't have wanted to drive without them, the several crashed cars left in the ditches along the road worked as a good reminder to keep the speed reasonable according to the weather conditions.
I am a firefighter and have seen many accidents before. You are lucky to walk away from this one alive sice the roof caved in. Glad to see you are safe.
Thanks everybody.
I did have my seat belt on, thank god that car had the automatic ones. Now every time i get into a car first thing i do is put my seat belt on.
After accidents like that, its all the more reason to invest in a Tardis - just think of the benefits.
If only it were possible.....
I don't know if you had studded tyres,
Sad thing is, i was soon going to buy some......
The 13th Raptor;3495463Well you are pretty lucky living trough that, considering the roof came in on the OTHER side of the car.
Yes you are lucky to even be alive. You have had a near death experience.
man that must have been really frighting were you allright though
