A 15-year-old girl is fighting for her life after a tragic accident claimed the lives of her three teenage friends in south-east Queensland this morning. Police say the sedan she was in was ripped apart when it slammed into a tree on a median strip at Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast. Two men, aged 18 and 19, and a 15-year-old girl died instantly. Police Inspector Annie Macdonald says another 15-year-old girl from Buderim was critically injured. The girl was flown to Royal Brisbane Hospital and remains in a coma. "The amount of families and people who have been devastated by this, it's just huge," she said. "It's not just three families, it leaves an indelible imprint that you don't get rid of." Shocked friends gathered at the scene today, their personal messages and flowers the only evidence of the horror that unfolded in the early hours. "I haven't seen an accident so bad in 26-and-a-half years," Inspector Macdonald said. "It's just frightening." Despite Queensland seniors graduating yesterday, police say the victims were not schoolies celebrating the year's end. But Inspector Macdonald says the tragedy should be a stark reminder to teenage drivers of the high stakes on the road. "I would urge every parent tonight to make their kid sit down and watch this coverage and look at the vehicle," she said. Police are not yet sure what caused the crash but are confident no other vehicle was involved. In a separate accident, a man was killed in a single vehicle accident in south Brisbane just before midnight.
this is a picture of the crash the car is literaly ripped in half. aparently her legs are totaly like destroyed, and her face is a mess. i feel so bad, as i knew this girl really well.
Shit, thats really bad it would have to been a real big impact for the car to seperate in half like that, i hope she makes it man.:dread2:

Kind of sad the number of teens who die in car crashes whether it be lack of experience or stupidity. Just a waste of life.

Whatever caused it, I hope it isn't lack of driver responsibility (speeding, driving drunk etc.). The car looks like a total mess so she's lucky she didn't got killed instantly. If se makes it I hope she doesn't as to live with too mani permanent injuries though so her life will still be worth living. If she isn't very lucky she could end up permanently in a wheelchair or bound to a hospital bed and that would just be.. hell.
Edit: Yes ofcourse living in a wheelchair doesn't have to be a living hell but if you were used to a different life with full mobility and no complications what so ever...
I hope the girl in coma survives. You know shes going to be disabled if she does. My best wishes go out to her and her family.
Shortly after my class graduated highschool one of my classmates got killed in a carwreck. I think she was going something like 60mph when she crashed. They showed a picture of the car and it looked something like the one above. I knew leesha from 2nd and 3rd grade up. It blows my mind to think she's dead now. Something like this just goes to show you how short life is. One minute your here and the next your a grease spot on the road.
It's tragic when things like this happen, real fucking tragic.
That really sucks, and as Donitz said, I hope it was not a result of irresponsibility. Best wishes.
It happend in the morning, i beleve the guys were taking them to school.
