Guys,

How do I change torpedo firepower (any torpedo kind)? Since I'm a newbie to modding, please explain in plain English. I appreciate any feedback - this site has been very helpful so far!

Alright.

You will find the torpedoes (and Pulse/Disruptors) files in scripts/tactical/projectiles. Open the torpedo (or Pulse/Disruptor) of your choice, make sure it is a .py file (you can decompile a py file if you want), if you want to edit a stock torpedo download the SDK, you'll find there all the scripts of BC in py format) and open it in notepad, or an other text file editor (it is not adviced to use Microsoft Word). In there you will find a lot of text (for explanation see the torpedo tutorial at BCFiles.com). If you go down you will see a line called GetDamage() beneet that you will see return #, change the # to any value to change the damage.

if you want heres a more simple way:

Go to the Scripts/Tactical/Projectiles Folder and look for the py file of the torpedo you want to edit. open it and look for this area: def GetDamage(): return 400.0

Where it says 400 change that to any numbert you want. check the transphasic torpedo on bc files and dont go above that or you may end up with a torp that vapourises enemies instead of destroying them
