Hi All,

I've added a few ships to BC, recently I've noticed in QB and single player changing Torpedoe loads now takes nearly a minute. Saw this first with Sov (Photons to Quantum) in SP, but occurs in QB as well with other ships.

Any thoughts folks ?

I'm not sure what u are asking here, but I think torpedo load times are controled by each ships hardpoint file. So if you switch, whatever the readload time is is how long it will take. I've seen some reload quicker than others. You'd hafta try it out my reducing the load time to 5 seconds and see if it makes a difference. If not, it might even be hard coded or controled by some other file.

Hi Starforce,

I checked out a few ship hardpoint.py's and compared the reload times. For the few I looked at they matched. Strange, I do remember the times being shorter, must be a time dilation effect or just the ships I've added have a faster reload time. Only way to double check is to re-load the fresh install backup !!!

Glad I could help. I'll just leave it up. If one person has a question, there's probably a second person with the same question.

After doing some digging through a pile of SDK scripts, I cannot find anytrhing that could be a standard torpedo type switch time, so it must be controled by the load time in each ship's hardpoint file. I'm thinking of making a hardpointing tutorial soon, so hopefully that will help with some of these questions.

I noticed in quick battle replacement I can use phased plasma torps or anti-matter torps or created ships, but they don't work in quick battle. Can you help?

As far as the torpedo load times, they r controlled by the py files in the hardpoints folder, not torpedos in general but each tube or turrett(sp) it titled reloaddelay, my P81 sov reloads in 20 seconds, I can pretty much constantly fire torpedos, my galaxyX is 15 seconds
