I pretend to do stuff.

Yeah, that's right. Some of you might have already heard, but I'm in the hospital. How did this come to pass? Let me share the story.
Tuesday afternoon, around 16.30 I went to town to get some groceries for dinner. After I'd gotten them, I (logically) went back to home. As I went home, I passed a small street on the right. Or, at least I would have. According to traffic laws, I had the right to go on. Two cars coming from the opposite direction wanted to go in to the small street on my right. One stopped to let me pass. The other didn't.
I had a frontal collision with the car which didn't stop, at a reasonably fast speed. This resulted in a broken pelvis, a key which jammed itself in my leg, and a complete and total bruise on the rest of my body.
I had an operation the same night, and I was lucky. No major arteries ripped, no bladder or urineway ruptures, and no other serious things. I spent the night on the ICU, and got transferred to a 'normal' section the next day.
I currently have to stay in the hospital one, maybe two weeks. After that, two months or-so to spend internally in a revalidation center, where I can (hopefully) regain full functionality of my pelvis. The entire process is estimated to take about 1½ years, and it's still the question if I will ever regain full control and quality of my pelvis.
We're currently in the process of preparing to sue the guy's ass off.
Because of this my activity will (obviously) drop. I just thought you lot all deserved to know.

There are some complete and utter nutters behind the wheels these days and it's a tragic shame that you getting hurt was the result from a fault on the drivers behalf.
Hope you get better mate and make a good, healthy recovery.

Sad to hear that, I hope you will recover both fully and soon, and that the guy that did it will get a proper punishment. :(

Sounds horrible. Just make sure to get well soon! It sounds like you were lucky with that prompt surgery.
Tip - make sure you do as much physiotherapy as you can when able, after you get into that revalidation center. It really does pay off with recovering. :)

I hope you get well soon, those injuries sound very unpleasant. Good to hear that the surgery went without problems though :)

Dude, that's like, the worst place to get an injury! Ouchtime!
Get well soon!
Just do what I do, from now on - don't trust anybody behind the wheel of a car. Especially if they look like me. Or if they have a glass of beer in their hand. And if you do get into bother, just jump!
