A cockroach wouldn't survive a nuclear bomb falling on its head anymore than you would. I think they refer to the radiation and/or adverse environmental conditions a full-scale nuclear war would produce world-wide, when they say a cockroach is the only thing that would survive. Not the actual blast itself.

lol, get them high and then kill them from OD. lol. I heard once that If you catch a hornet in a baggie and put it in a freezer for a while it will go into a hibernation thingy and then u could tie it up and have a pet hornet when It came back awake.

I always thought it was ants who'd be the ones to survive a nuclear war. Have you ever dealt with an ant invasion? They resist everything but your feet... even the specialised ant-killing sprays we used on the ba... bar stewards didn't do anything! A few of them died after substancial spraying, but the rest just carried on. The little scumbags have cut a hole right through the (brick) wall of our house, right past the insulation, right through the plaster and into the living room. Every now and then you notice this line of ants wandering around the fire place... and as quickly as you fill the hole, they dig it out again! Screw cockroaches, it's ants you should be worried about.

It's not a measurement of how lethal it is, it's how effective it is. A cockroach can just apparently survive radiation easier than a human can, is all. Your insect killing spray cans are just tailor-made to make use of chemicals that will kill them. Supposedly.

No it is the cockroaches we should be worried about. You live in England, and you guys don't know how to properly produce bug killer:lol: We Americans are very good at killing our ants and other bugs. Anyone else here think it is spiders we should be worried about? Where the hell did all them things come from anyway?
