From 'herd-immunity' to near total lock-down in ten days. What an utter balls up. Like it doesn't matter what position you take - if you believe the former, then this is a naked power grab, if you believe the latter, then it was foolish to go down the immunity line first.

This isn't 'following the science,' this is someone who doesn't have a scooby-doo pissing the gift of being behind the curve clear up a wall, then trying desperately to wipe their arse when the power goes out... (only to come to the sticky realisation that all the bloody bog roll has been nicked.)

I don't really understand how sustainable this is. Society is grinding to a halt and there's enough idiots ignoring the advise to stay home anyway that it seems futile.

As a manager it's made my life harder than it should be at work. Remote working is leading to people taking advantage.

This whole response has been bipolar. Don't go outside or society will collapse. Go outside to get take-out from your favorite restaurants or society will collapse.

I am not against staying isolated if there's a plan, I just don't see what the next move is. As soon as people step outside again, it'll be as if we did nothing, and with a vaccine far on the horizon, there's no real game plan I am aware of.

I'm more concerned with my adversary, the cottonwood in two months, personally.

Well, this is sort of horrifying:

"What are my chances doc?"

"Good... good! Erm. Don't worry about the bed. Purely a formality. Haha...."
