Thought it would be interesting to share this with you guys. This is a live cam in NASA's JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) clean room of workers building the next rover to go to Mars. Curiosity Cam, Ustream.TV: INFORMATION ABOUT 'CURIOSITY CAM' Look inside the clean room at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., to watc... I found this through NASA's Facebook page. I was personally thrilled to see this as I have never seen how they build rovers. Any thoughts?

This is like watching Big Brother. Lot of people around, but nothing is happening. =p

It is pretty neat, but it would be more interesting if there was sound. Or alien testings. =P

Yeah there are periods where they all come in and help. However they are all doing something.

Same Scho. I was bummed about that, but I wonder if it's for the purpose of technical security. As in they have some sensitive things they are saying, but don't want people to hear.

I don't think they are too concerned about the Russians acquiring extraterrestrial spectrometers. It's probably just not very practical to have microphones stationed throughout the building and then having to combine them somehow into a single feed.

Nice find, Raptor. Can't say I ever wondered how they built them, but now I know.

Exactly! And don't you forget how they cooperated with the lizards to create the Soviet Union! Clearly, these people are dangerous.

Thanks. I have them as friends on FB so I get all the stuff they post.

And that was how the Russians were made....Fascinating.

I think it's quite neat. A bit empty now, being a weekend and all...I'll have to check back Monday. I seriously considered a career in robotics, potentially working for NASA. Opted to go for Chemistry and Applied Mathematics, and probably teach high school chemistry instead. Way less money, but way less stress, and way more free time.
