Just thinking, would it be possible to make damage textures where the debris has that smoldering/glowing effect for about 30 seconds and then stops glowing to give a burnt-out look?

Nano FX 2 does that, just the beta only lets you have it for about 30 seconds anyways, no more no less.

I think you misunderstood, I'm talking about fire damage, that replaces the normal damage textures. Is there a way to make it stop,well being on fire after a certain amount of time?

No, I think you misunderstood me, I meant is there a way to make fire damage/damage textures, stop glowing on fire after a small period of time?

easy, make it animated useing scripts, and have it stop after the damage tga's run out of sequence. im not exactly sure hows it done, but i heard a theory on it.

I dunno, i would have to look on how to do it. But i think Nano FX uses that in its debris script, so i think same principal could be used for damage. im not sure. i think it hasn't been done mainly cuz damage is made right when the hull is hit. and a certain value of damage has to be hit before the outter hull breeches.
