Im going out deer hunting for my first time this november. Are there any tips experienced hunters can give me, such as tactics and hints. That would be very helpful. Im not going to be using a tree stand either, so maybe someone could tell me some good tips on hunting without a tree stand.
I don't hunt but rember, they have good hearing and a great sense of smell so what those 2 and you should get a deer for dinner.
I got a herd of 12 or 13 around my house.
Yea im going to try to get some cover scent, but ill probably try to hunt into the wind just to be sure.
Well i like to hunt, and i would say if your rifle hunting then always remeber to sqeeze the trigger, yanking the trigger will result (usually) in a poor shot.
Hope you the best of luck.
Thanks. me too.
Alrighty, some little tips i use while hunting deer are: use your entire (upper) body to guide the gun as you aim, be exact and use your strength to keep the gun steady.

For stalking, which is generally considered more difficult, remember to eliminate scent, or mask is with poo or something. To bring deer in, get a slab of salt, or find one. Don't talk loudly, don't look directly at the deer, avoid making noise(duh), and don't make sudden movements.
Thanks everyone for your tips and hints. I will be sure to use some of them and hopefully bag a nice deer.:)

What gun are you using? What kind of terrain are you huntin on? Are you going to be on the ground or in a treestand? How have the deer been moving in the area, sticking to fields or in forest? Are there a lot of acrons or corn in the area? Do you have all the right licenses and equipment? Are you trying for a buck or a doe?
