I've been thinking about it. Is it possible?

I would google it but I don't want to be suckered into having some bored old fuck on the internet hijacking my account for his own fun. Just in case somebody here has a more keen eye than I do.

If you log in to facebook and search through their help section you can find details on how to do it here:

https://www.facebook.com/help/224562897555674#How-do-I-permanently-delete-my-account?

Do not log into your account for 14 days after doing so or it gets undone.

As Nem's link says, you can delete it, which is a lengthier and permanent process, or you can just disable it which makes it un-viewable to the world but can still be accessed and restored if you change your mind.

Just curious, why do you want to delete it?

Annoying that it takes a while but it can be done.

I would make it inaccurate before deleting it. Just make it completely wrong about who you are. It'll become useless to advertisers that way. Then after a few months, delete that one.

I concur, try to mess around with as many info as you can: your profile, posts and so on. Then delete it after a while and it should be both useless to advertisers and people tring to find you. That and keep in mind that anything you put on the net is going to be on there forever and beyond your control (who has access to it). So don't put anything online in the firstplace of you don't mind the whole world knowing about it.
