Veteran Hollywood actor and film-maker Dennis Hopper has died in California. He was 74 and had been suffering from prostate cancer. Hopper starred in many films throughout a long career, appearing in both cult classics and mainstream blockbusters. He was born in 1936 and made his name as an actor in a string of television appearances during the 1950s in such long-running series as The Twilight Zone and Bonanza. His breakthrough came in 1969 with the film Easy Rider, which he both wrote and directed, and which established his reputation as a global maverick superstar. He went on to appear in such varied films as Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet, Speed and Super Mario Brothers.

RIP Dennis you will be missed

People die, but we hate to see some of them go more than others.

RIP Dennis. You were a fucking cool guy.

It's happening again! Why does God hate celebrities? Is it not enough that 7 died last year? Good bye Dennis. You were a legend! :(
