myeah, smoking's bad for ya.. :lookaround:
Qouted for truth!
Just look at Belgium. They have a smoking ban in restaurants, etc. The Dutch that way got 20% more customers due to the ban. What does that tell us kids? People will leave if you envoke a public smoking ban!
KoЯsakoff;3531327Yes I smoke. Everything worth saying is already stated by Swede. Only thing that isn't stated is, give me my own space inside a bar/pub/restaurant/whatever when I can smoke. But no, we should adjust to the non smokers. Bullshit, thats pure discrimination! I certainly hope that there will be places that only allow smokers, since you wont have to care about the bullshit non smokers give you.
Yes but you say its not fair that you have to go to a designated area to smoke, but consider this is it fair for you to be allowed to smoke in say a restaurant any where were you may be causing harm to a young child? what if your smoking causes a small child of say 9months to choke? and possibley badly damage them? how is that fair.
Why do I have to take my guts outside in a possible blizzard freezing my ass off? I'm the potential worker for society the small child is not, not yet atleast. And I stated that I would agree with a smokers area, but only if it's inside.
Just for the smokers: wouldn't it be great to have our own country where you could just smoke anywhere you want without having to hear some b/s about how it can harm others? No taxes on tobacco! :p
DavetheFo;3531339Well from later on this year us Brits wont be able to smoke indoors anywhere, not even in designated smoking rooms at work, which is gonna piss off a lot of people.
Lets see how many people will actually return to work.
However, that's removing our rights - I have the right to smoke myself into an early grave if I like. And I'm taking my liver with it as well, might as well go for the whole shebang.
Ah thats where i miss read, I agree there should be a room ofsome sorts for smokers at the work place so they don't have to freeze there ass off, but I still don't think that they should be allowed to smoke in restaurants due to the fact that it can ruin some peoples appetite and if isome one has breathing difficulties it would cause problems.
Wanna go Double Dutch?

As far as smoking restrictions in public goes: They are good, they do protect those who do not wish to smoke or smoke second hand. So a ban on smoking in "public areas" would be desired. I guess that all public areas (work offices, restaurants, shops, ...) should be able to build 100% isolated smoking areas ( this means you will have to put smokers in a sealed of area with airprove doors...). But then any staff should not be forced to work/enter in the smoking areas to serve the customers (any staffer who doesn't care take over that job).
Heck no I don't smoke! I think there are quicker ways to die and far more thrilling pass times.
Addictions are for weak individuals...when a person gives up their weakness they become strong.
I have three family memebers that have decided to over come their weakness and embrace life. Grandmother, Aunt Gloria, and Uncle Nelson. But my favorite Aunt has over come that yet.
We're all still hoping.
I don't smoke, it'd both:
1.) Possibly ruin my life... 2.) And I've got asthma... so... :vikki:
I don't smoke, tried it once ...... people find that calms them down?!!? Personally it feels horrible, but obviously I'm just a lucky one :)
BIG GOOD LUCK to all you quitters, it'll be worth it! :D
Many drivers do not smoke and yet they kill others' breathing organ (don' t know the english name) much more faster then smokers do. It' s against the law to smoke in public places here (as in all europe and the U.S.A. aswell, if I am correct) so, all non smokers should just take a breath and relax, as a James Bond movie said once "Live and let die"...
You can either agree with meor be wrong.
