It seems to be such a huge thing, I've never been a fan of it , more so now with my medical issues, but there seems to be an entire 'coffee culture', it's especially growing in this country and I almost feel left out of it a little bit.

So is it just me? Who else hates (or loves) coffee?

Coffee and tea, aye. I love the smell of both, but I can't take the taste. I find it bothersome because I really want to be able to have a cup of tea or coffee, but I simply can't stand the taste.

I like coffee, but these days I drink it when I need it. All jokes aside, it sometimes does weird things to my digestion.

Coffee doesn't give me the caffeine "burst", I have love coffee since I was a teenager.  The perhaps psychosomatic feel to it, the taste and smell of fresh brew is mesmerizing to me still anyway and somehow brings me into a fondness of the upcoming morning.  For maybe like 3 or 4 minutes anyway, I'm not sure lol. I still think mornings should be illegal.

A coffee with a cigarette is always a good idea. Or a coffee right after a few hits from an AM joint to greet the day

Its awful for me in taste and my body is allergic to the coffee bean so....  It sucks.

It further sucks that it is business casual 'lets go for coffee' because sometimes someone buys me coffee before I can order tea for myself....  Just makes an awkward situation.

There are so many variants, chances are that you'll like one of them. Coffee is a bit of an acquired taste, but just adding a little milk to filtered coffee can change its taste entirely. Then you have all these espresso/milkfoam combinations, they hardly taste like regular coffee or espresso, which is probably why they are so popular.

Same for tea: try some varieties like Earl Grey (flavored with Bergamont oil) or just a really high quality black tea (not the pre-pacakged stuff some actual tea-leaves). White tea is a nice option if you generally like the idea of black tea but find the taste a little too strong. Also, with tea the brew time is important; start with less than the recommended time.

So yes, I like both coffee and tea. And I drink a lot of that stuff, although it is to a large degree habitual.
