Hi, I'm sick, I have the flue and my dad says I have to take 2 aspirins with hot milk (as hot as possible he says) and sweat it out. But now my mom says that sweating is bad. Shoud I drink boiling milk or not?
Uh, as long as you still keep hydrated I don't see why that could cause you any harm other than a burnt tongue.
Well, I sometimes drink hot milk with some sugar from time to time, I don't see the problem with it.
These things are helping to alleviate the symptoms, and will eventually give your body strength to fight the virus. It doesn't directly attack the virus though.
That's what my grandmother allways says! It should work then:p

In my experience drinking any BOILING liquid is usually a bad idea.
I didn't mean boiling, just very hot. :p Anyways, I'l just take those aspirins.
As far as the flu goes, there's no real "cure" because it's a viral infection. There are things that can help ease the symptoms. Aspirin can help deal with any physical pain, and warm/hot milk is often easy on the stomach. When I take that, I usually mix it with honey. It's pretty delicious too. :) I've found that flat ginger ale works pretty well too.
Just make sure you keep drinking plenty of water. Nothing makes any sort of illness worse like dehydration.
Hope you feel better soon, man.

Unless you're incredibly uncomfortable, don't take any fever reducers. Reducing your fever makes you feel better, but will cause you to be sick longer because fever is part of the immune response. By reducing the fever you stunt your own immune response to the virus which makes your immune system less effective at fighting off the infection.
And as Zamamee stated, there is no cure for influenza or the cold (rhinovirus). Just keep yourself hydrated and rested and you'll fight it off naturally.
I usually drink sprite and take mucinex and cough syrup.
Cant do cough syrup, I throw up every time.
