I've lost two dogs when I was old enough to be affected by their deaths.

The first was Opal, an Australian Shepherd, my mom pulled into the driveway, she ran out from behind a bush, ran a little, and fell down. It was so hard on us just to see our dog laying lifeless on the ground.

When we moved where we are now a little over 3 years ago, we had a dog named Tinker who was a Black Lab. We couldn't let her inside the house, so she always stayed outside, and during the winter it was pretty cold, so we had a propane heater set up in our garage to use at night. But my mom insisted we give her to my step dad's sister. Tinker wasn't any good at directions, only when it came to taking them from myself or one of my brothers. So my "aunt" took her to dog classes, there, Tinker apparently got loose, and jumped over a fence, getting her leash hooked on the fence, and choked her. Now, I don't believe this, I think she just ran away or something, but whatever the reason, she's gone, and she was one of the funnest dogs to wrestle with.

Now my mom has 3 little Papillons. They're cute and all, but they're no Australian Shepher or Black Lab.

I hope your dog comes out of this as she was before the incident.

Well, I thought this thread was dead. Either way, thank you for all the Condolences, It's good to know other people know what it's like losing a pet. Right now, she's asleep on the rug of my room, she can't Run, Jump, or Climb, but she can still open doors, stnaind on her Wounded Leg and her recorvering Right leg with the Broken Femur. Because of her surgery, they shaved her backside, she's constantly licking at the spot if she doesn't wear one of those Giant Lampshade Collars, which kind of irritates both of us.

I'm not sure if I explained her name our not, but let me tell you the story. We found her about a Year and 2 Months ago, she was on our property. The way she walked and ran when she exited was . . comical, she kind of Curled up into a C-Shape and whacked herself in the face with her own tail. She always kind of flops down, she doesn't lay down. I'm sorry to hear about your pets dying, it's always sad to hear about the death of a pet, I've lost 3.
