if you get this:

omg this is funny! http://jose.rivera4.home.att.net/cute.pif

over MSN, don't download it. it automaticcaly sends an exact duplicate of that message to everyone on your MSN contact list. some fuckers think they're really clever.

i've had it offered to be 4 times now, that means four people on my list are stupid enough to download unknown files. if you have, do yourself a favour and virus scan your system. never trust anything.

Think you should remove the http:// part so people will not be tempted to click it?

Heh, I was stupid enough to download it. I'll not fall for this one again. I'm scanning my system right now to make sure its not infected.

It was sent to me from people I never talk to on MSN, so I knew something was up right away. Thanks for the head's up though. :nodding:

I made the mistake of opening it as well. Some sneaky bastard(s) up to no good again.

From a partial system scan, it doesn't seem as though this does any significant system damage. It was a joy having everybody on my MSN list pop up asking me "wtf is this?" though.

Well, I just finished a detailed scan of my system and I haven't found any viruses.

you'd think the ".pif" would be a red flag.
