This is a ship that I made up. It would likely be considered a god-ship as it has 14 Phaser Arrays, 8 Pulse Phasers, 2 Disruptors, 2 Plasma Cannons(the cannons are atop pylons to p/sb of the main hanger), 7 Torpedo Launchers, a cloaking device, and ablative armor. If anyone has an interest in it, contact me at themastersword2003@yahoo.com :naughty:

6 Naccels? Starfleet has always preferred to design Starships with a two nacelle configuration, it being long recognized that this is the ideal layout for optimal warp field efficiency. and it is not possible to go over warp 10, except in the alternitive reality that Q showed Picard, and that wasn't real. If you want a high warp ship with a realistic possibility, try this: Normal Cruise : 9.9 Maximum Cruise : 9.95 Maximum Speed : 9.993

Unfortunately, the problem with most fan based ships is that they make the ship to be all powerful. The FASTEST in the fleet with the most amount of FIREPOWER! I dont get it, why can't we all design a new type of Centaur class, or a medical ship. Why is a god ship number one on everyone's priority???

No offense to you, I'm just saying my piece.

The multinacelled ship has quite a history in star trek, the galaxyX and the prometheus being two very well known examples. They tend to operate as back up systems - the galaxyX's due to the new warp system being used, the prometheus' due to the MVAM system. Noticing that there are two main nacelles and four smaller ones, I think he can get away with it. Especially as it is a concept ship rather than someone else's idea of 'cannon'.

It looks like a refitted constitution class crossed with a prometheus in the soveriegn era (with galaxyX pulse phaser mounts) and I'm sure it will do well as a warship.

I have a similar concept ship, though less powerful and hardly in a position to be releasd as a mod. I'll try and get screenshots and post them here.

Sneaker98, I don't take offense. Frankly, this ship has been evolving since I thought of it a long time ago. Originally, it had the same basic structure, but had different warp nacelles. Where the Sov. engines are, there used to be Galaxy; where the Nova's are, there used to be Connie's(although I kept the pylons); and the Prom. used to be Intrepid. MilleauRekir, I'd like to see this ship of yours, see how it would compare to mine. And really, the Dreadnought is a mix of Prometheus, Ambassador, Constitution, Sovereign, Intrepid, and Nova. Oh, and those cannons that look like the Galaxy-X's pulse phasers are the plasma cannons.

LOL! Geez, you guys are tough. The design needs, um, some assistance from an experienced hand in sketch drawing. I think if someone would put some talent into it, the sketch itself can be refurbished into a nice looking layout of what the ship looks like. Now if I knew how to attach images, I would give a refurbished drawing of this and post it here. What I would do is make it more stream lined and less bulky. Parts of the ship appear to be out of proportion. I would also keep the warp naccells looking the same with each other (it looks like something you put together with left over parts from a junkyard or a battle field graveyard with the different warp naccells). And don't go with six engines (I know it may sound cool... but it doesn't look cool when you finally have it assembled together). Instead, go with four in an S-Foil winged pylon configuration that you would find on an X-wing starfighter from Star Wars (I know what it really looks like... Its not an actual "><" shape, but more like looking at two 7s reflecting each other, with the head longer than the leg and the angles more acute; also have each wing in a delta wing configuration - aviation enthusiasts should know what that means). If the engineering hull or "Stardrive" is going to have deep decks, then keep it looking slim or skinny when looking at if from fore or aft. If it will have shallow decks, then make it fatter. And it should be more rounder on the bottom and flatter on the top (opposite idea should go for the saucer section). Also, the Stardrive looks better if it is longer than the dish (don't make it too long or it will start to look like the ship has a tail or something going on). This will probably end up looking similar to an Excelsior class Stardrive. The neck on yours is way too deep. Make it shorter, like the Sovereign's but not like the Intrepid (which doesn't have a neck). I don't like the Prometheus / Nova class saucer idea. Perhaps something more like a Galaxy class, but with the front shaped a little bit more aggressively (kind of like the Intrepid class, but wider). A cool idea for a deflector system is to have horizontal grills instead of a dish. I probably just completely redesigned a whole new ship for you instead of doing some moderate tinkering on your rendition. But I'm sure it would look cool. Good luck!

Well ya. If you were to redo the drawing it could look good, but if you redrew it to look really good, it wouldn't look like the pics above any more, and that is the drawing that i'm referring to.

Shimano, no offense taken. This ship wasn't meant to look pretty. serverandenforcer, thank you for some constructive criticism. That's what I'm looking for. Although I agree that it should be more streamlined, I've been trying to avoid redesigning the whole thing. The Dreadnought is a WARSHIP. Since when do warships have to look pretty or cool? EG, my first reaction to the Defiant was "Geez, that thing's ugly!"
