Well I need some help with rating stuff look this site and also look the example. http://www.chess.freegames.eu.com/rules/fide/elo.html#Previous_ratings_systems Look to this, this system rating clanbase uses, I want to know how it works, I understand all but I dont know how you can calculate Ea When i do Ea = 1/(1+10*((Rb - Ra)/400) Ea = 1/(1+10*((1609 - 1613)/400) Ea = 1/(1+10*(-4/400) Ea = 1/(1+10*-.01 Ea = 1/(1+-0.1) Ea = 1/0.9 Ea = 1.111111111 but this isnt right... can some1 maybe give me a good example with this math? Or give a link to a site where it good explaint.

I suppose you have misread the formula, to me it seems the only way it makes any sense is if it's like the following:

Ea = 1/(1+10^((Rb - Ra)/400)

Ea=1/(1+10^((1609 - 1613)/400) Ea=1/(1+10^(-4/400) Ea=1/(1+10^(-0,01) Ea~=1/(1+0,97723722095581068269707600696156) Ea~=1/1,97723722095581068269707600696156 Ea~=0,50575620841114492734476185530156

(~= stands here for the equals approximately symbol, which I didn't find on this keyboard, and "," is used as some people use ".")
