I've managed to strain my eyes to the point of not being able to look around without them hurting. I think it has to do with staring at my computer screen. My work requires me to be on the computer but I also want to get rid of the pain. Anyone have any suggestions? :uhm:

Yeah it's because of the computer.. sometimes if I stay on the computer all night (I rarely do btw) my eyes hurt when I turn them after I get off. As for getting rid of the pain.. The only thing I can think of is rest.. :clueless:

Mistake number A: Never view a computer screen in the dark. Always make sure you have plenty of light surrounding you. That's where the eye problems kick in. Either that or you spill coffee all down your keyboard because there is a lack of light. Yeh, i know, that's just me.

Damn...I thought I was having issues with the screen then found out it was just me. My optometrist said I have PVD (Posterior Vitreous Detachment). Basically the inside of my right eye that contains the fluid has pulled away from my retina. Sucks really, cause it is something that usually affects everyone, but not until we are seniors. Oh well, I have to go in every three months so they can check to see if the tear is doing anything to my retina. If so, then I have to have surgery. Stupid eye.

Go outside.

I'm actually serious, you need a lot of oxygen and if you don't they rot.

I say take a break every half hour to maybe step outside or open a window and have ltos of sun and never sit close to the screen. Vieine works wonder also.

I ruined my eyes reading books in the dark with a flashlight. Now I have to wear glasses. Really need to be careful with that crap.

High blood pressure can make your eyes hurt. Does it to mine everytime i eat salt. Try taking it easy on the salty foods.
