What is it you fear. I don't mean like the simple shit (clowns/needles/spiders) n whatnot but things you fear in life. Maybe death (but be more specific) or change. There are so many things I'm afraid of. 1. I'm afraid to see (or hold) the lifeless body of someone I loved. 2. Witness the death of someone I loved (not a natural death but a murder) 3. I'm afraid to grow old in fear of loosing one of my senses... or just becoming horribly weak 4. Afraid to love and be loved.

1. Growing old to the point I can't take a piss on my own. 2. Flying. I have done it but I hate it. 3. Being broke.

Hmm

  1. People who are unwilling to stand up for themselves, I fear greatly for them, for the things they will allow to happen again.
  2. Being kept alive past my time. Never being allowed to rest, I think that after all this living I've earned a little sleep.
  3. Destroying the ideals I hold dear. I can see how easily this could happen, people and their convictions are so fragile.
  4. That there may be a vindictive god at the end of it all.

Nem, you are too deep. Anything down to earth you fear?

I also fear dog bites, talking like pits, rotties, Shepards etc. . I was bit bad once by a German Shepard and never want it to happen again! It was my fault so I don't blame the dog that time.

1. Going senile with age and dying alone in an old people's home. 2. An early death with no possible means of escape or survival. 3. Losing memories. 4. Being forced to accept, support and protect principles I strongly disagree with. 5. Being dominated by an ultimate authority.

1. Getting Alzheimer's and slowly forgetting who my own family is without realizing it 2. Becoming a quadrapalegic and being trapped in my body without being able to move 3. A drowning death, or any long, painful, terrifying death 4. Wasting an opportunity and seeing my life go down the drain as a result

├čeefNem, you are too deep. Anything down to earth you fear?

Not in a way that really qualifies as fear. There's that sensation you get when something immediate happens, a sort of lightning bolt through your chest that freezes the heart, you know the one or maybe you don't but regardless. But I don't really count that as fear, it's more a shock than anything else. Then there's the other things, the ones that strike deep at the core of who you are and what you believe in, the ones that make you feel sick in the pit of your stomach and shove a lump in your throat. Now that, that is fear.

There's the fear the body has, which I count as shock. And then there's the fear the mind has, a fear of things it hates and disgusts at, that is the thing I count as fear.

Shock is just shock, "DEAR FUCKING GOD WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?!" You know, it's just shock, it doesn't make you feel, it doesn't keep you up at night. It's realms are things like pain, the avoidance thereof. Fear though-- real fear is different. It's realm lies with things like oppression, a loss of freedoms, a twisting of morals, deception. Things that I can look at and say, "Yes, sitting here as I am in my safe home... Those things really scare me."

I can say that I don't fear a bullet, and I mean it, I might feel the body's shock at it but I don't fear it on an intellectual level. I fear greatly however the lack of people standing up for themselves that has put that bullet there, that has placed that man's finger on the trigger. That is the difference between what the body fears and what I fear.

I fear bugs, I really hate bugs, and flying stuff, something I've got off my Mum I think. Something a litte deeper, hmmm. I'd hate to die without never having had a partner.

I fear 1) Being left alone losing anything and anybody i hold dear to me 2) Losing memories 3) being outcasted There are probably more but these are all i can think of right now. Generally it is all related to losing contact with the world around me or even myself.
