This is a rhetorical question.. Who the else hates.. no... DESPISES freeloaders?

For example.. on GamingFOrums there are a lot of them.

I really hate when people register, post a link to their website/forums and then disappear afterward.

They are taking advantage of our niceness and benefit from us, while offering nothing, in return. I personally find it not only lame, but down right unacceptable.

If you look in the shameless advertisor, you'll see countless amount of people with 0-10 posts, which is extremely unsatisfactory. It's getting to the point where people are registering just to leech off of the community, instead of contributing to it.

Come on, give me your two cents :)

Yea I dont like that, but what are you going to do about it? Atleast most of the time they post in the shamless advertiser, if I thought that anyone in there had more than 20 posts I might look at there site. GF is the biggest forum in the worl (that I have found) so people are bound to just post a link and go.

The worst part is that we have 143,853 members but only 4,971 Active members and I am sure that the active members is actualy lower cause it may include all of the people who post a link and leave every day. Over 140,000 people just post a hi and go or post a link and go, it's truly sad.

I think we should have a post requirement in order to post in that forum.

No, then they'll just spam all over the place.

I think one of the reasons the Shameless Advertiser forum was created was to try to contain the ad spamming. And most of the time it works.

I myself hardly ever go there, so they're not gaining anything from me.

When in doubt, gas it!

I've never gone there myself, it's seems pointless to do so, those who just show up to advertise their sites or other things are worthless to those who actually frequent the forum. I figured from the beginning that that place was to eliminate the annoyance of spam advertisements from the other forums. I think it's better just to ignore those who serve only to annoy you.

Whats even worse is when they leave one post about their site in the introduction forums, then everyone else goes and welcomes them, but they never return.

I despise freeloaders, i know my share of them outside of gf, i just don't know how someone can leech off a group of people like that.

Yeah, I don't like them much, either, doesn't seem to be much you can do about them, though. Atleast the ones at GF stay mainly in the Shameless Advert.
