Well, last night I found myself in a rather unusual situation.

At the lake where I work there are many long periods where nobody will show up, and the five or so guards on duty need something to do. Well, last night, two of them broke out airsoft guns and began to shoot eachother. I did my best to fend them off with a SuperSoaker that a kid left behind earlier that day, but, alas, my acts of self defense were in vain.

Gosh, as a proud owner of over a dozen real firearms, including two evil black rifles (assault weapons), I never thought I'd be asking this question...

What is a good introductory airsoft gun? My price maximum is 150 dollars, or there abouts. As these two punks were using an MP-5A4 and M4A1, I pretty muche need something along those lines. I did a bit of research, and found that spring loaded guns simply won't work out well for me. I don't want to have to buy gas all the time, so electric is preferable.

Thanks for all the help, it's much appreciated.

USMA2010Thanks for all the help, it's much appreciated.

Well some of the best airsoft guns are made by tokyo marui, a japanese company. Website. The guns maybe a little over you price range, but they are well worth it. My friend has a tompson and it's the best airsoft gun I've ever shot.

If you don't want tokyo, then there are plenty of guns around $150, but they are all pretty much the same quality. Get a gas (Co2) powered gun, they are much better than electric.

How many hours of shooting, on average, does an average CO2 gun get before it needs a refill? And how much does the gas cost?

Oh, and do you think I could get that webpage, ya know, in English? :p Thanks.

Well, I try to stay away from shopping on eBay as much as possible. Too many scams, not enough information on the product.

Yea true, do you have a Dick's Sporting Goods by you any where?? They have electric guns but they are not the best. You should also try gun shows if you have them out there.

Yeah, I've seen the selection there. Few AR-15 knockoffs, mostly cheap looking crap.

It used to be a Gallyans, and they had a great selection. Just for the hell of it, while I was shopping for a 12 guage semi-auto, I came across a M1298 airsoft gun, so I took it out of the box. All metal, had a nice weight that said quality. Too bad I can't remember who made it.
