Who was the Greatest Military Leader of WWII? It can be anyone who conducted troops in any theater of war and can be from any branch of the military from any country. Give your opinion and explain why!

I wouldn't say Hitler if he hadn't made all the mistakes he did and listened to his generals more, he would have conquered the whole Europe! Rommel though is a definite contender! Thanks for the post! :cya:

You sure not Karl Dönitz? I will accept anyone from any branch of the armed forces

Großadmiral Karl Dönitz was a great leader to (he invented the famous wolfpack tactic where a small pack of u-boats would attack ships). But i think that Rommel is still a better tacticious though. So i will vote for Rommel. For those who wonder who Dönitz is (or want to know even more about him): http://uboat.net/men/doenitz.htm (check the sub links aswell!) http://lego70.tripod.com/german/doenitz.htm http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/GERdoenitz.htm http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/Doenitz.html
