well i tried that but i need a walkthrough because whenever i open it i don't know where to go. If you could give me a walkthrough that would be great! :)

Actually, the walk-through is on this site. And it also links to a few more walk-throughs for it as well. I've been using the MPE myslef, and have made some pretty fair hardoint files for some ships.

But now I have a question.

Thanks to my *ahem* new-founded hardpointing ability, I have placed side-firing torpedoes on my SOvereign. They do dumb-fire, but does anyone know how to get them to fire at an actual ship?

I remember seeing someone's version of a Nebula-class ship having that same ability. If he's reading this, perhaps he could help me as well. ;)

Dwilliestyle, if you fire the torpedo in the general direction of the ship, it should track the target. Tracking is based off the torpedo, not the hardpoint for the ship. Just bring you flankside to the target and rightclick. Should work. If not, disable dumb-fire.

I tried that, but then they would not fire at all. At least with dumb fire, they would fire if the ship is not locked on any target. Do you have any other ideas?

For the torps, you have to put them in their own unique weapons group, normally each vector will have a group. eg. forward group 1, aft group 2, starboard group 3.

If you don't then the torps will fire when ANY tube in the group gets a lock.

Check the groupings on my Nebula or AKira HP to see.
