i have a lasko ceramic element heater and I can't figure it out. I am freezing in my house and it is plugged in and theres a red light on it, whenever I hit the power button it blinks quickly then resumes back to its regular doing nothing. I can't get it to work. I'm freezing. It's 2am and I'm tired.. any help would be great.. ugh i hate michigan...

Have you tried hooking it up to a different socket? Is there anything obstructing the air intake? When all else fails, take a hot shower, make sure you keep as much steam inside the bathroom as possible. Afterwards, dry thoroughly, and wrap a few towels around your feet is you do not have any slippers.

Have you tried checking the thermostat setting?

It may be set too low and thus think its reached the desired (or in this case, undesired) temperature already.

The thermostat might have some sort of malfunction, in which case you could try to trick it with something cold (but unless you like electric shocks or fires, use something dry that doesn't burn easily).

Yep sounds like it's broke. Till you get a new one try sleeping on top and under a blanket to insulate you better. Good luck and keep warm.

I remember one time in winter the heater went out and my mom went crazy because it was so cold. That wasn't my favorite time.

Even if you did get it to work, would you trust it? Get a new one!

I think you should start a fire in the middle of your room, you will not freeze then
